About Dr. Brunk
Dr. Bill Brunk hails from Memphis, Tennessee, however, he spent most of his early years in Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Chemistry in 1967, and earned his dental degree from UNC in 1971. Dr. Brunk received numerous awards for scholastic achievement including the Alpha Omega Award and membership into Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. He completed his orthodontic residency at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1973. He has been producing great smiles in Wake County and surrounding areas for over thirty years.As part of his passionate dedication to community, Dr. Brunk served twelve years as clinical adjunct faculty in the UNC orthodontic residency program and received an award for outstanding individual volunteer service from Governor James Hunt in 1983 and again in 1992 from Governor James Martin. As a practitioner, Dr. Brunk emphasizes service to his patients and continues to this day to highlight the importance of giving back to the community. Although not a Rotary Club member, Dr. Brunk was honored in July of 2007 with the Paul Harris Award and The Service Above Others Award by the Zebulon Rotary Club for his support of the community. Dr. Brunk and his wife, Sharyn, were married in 1984. Sharyn operates a software company in Raleigh. Dr. Brunk has four children: Christa, Donald, Kim, and Erich. About Dr. Laster
Dr. Stewart Laster is originally from Norfolk, Virginia, and completed his undergraduate in 1993 at the College of William and Mary. Dr. Laster earned his dental degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2001. He was awarded the UNC-AAO award that same year. He also completed his master's in orthodontics at UNC-Chapel Hill, finishing in 2004. "Dr.L" has been producing great smiles and serving the patients of this practice since that time.Dr. Laster is a veteran of the UNC Mexico Project and traveled to Africa in 2007 as part of the Mission to the World. Dr. Laster has published original research in scientific journals in the fields of molecular biology as well his master's thesis on three-dimensional diagnostic imaging. In 2007 Dr. Laster won the Arthur H Weurhmann Prize for his research on new diagnostic imaging technology. Dr. Laster and his wife Christine were married in 2001. They have two daughters. When he isn't creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Laster enjoys time with his family, marathon training, traveling, reading, and soccer. He completed his first marathon in the spring of 2007 in Charlottesville, Virginia, and plans to run another in the near future. An avid sports fan, Dr. Laster can often be found cheering on local youth, collegiate, and professional athletic teams. Professional and Civic Organizations:
